About Me

The Author - Andy Thompson

Andy was born in Huntsville, Alabama during the summer of 1979 — ten years too late for Bryan Adams’ song to be his life’s anthem. He grew up in the Tennessee Valley, spending most of his childhood on the run from undercover Algerian spies that were out for his DNA. They were seeking to use him in a series of medical experiments deep in the heart of the Atlas Mountains. Actually, he was an average little boy; playful, imaginative, and fond of snack cakes.

During his high school years, Andy worked as a flea market caricature artist, fast food junkie, Internet help desk technician, and unemployed sponger. After high school, Andy met a beautiful woman at a small church in Madison, Alabama. Soon after their meeting, they began dating and were married in just under two years. It’s been a storybook romance for both of them ever since!

Andy is a Christian, though not always the perfect example of what one should be. He was saved by Jesus Christ as a teenager and was called to ministry at the age of 19. He has worked in many facets of church ministry, but his life calling is to youth and young adults. He currently serves as a Sunday school teacher for fifth graders, leads worship for his church’s student ministry, and volunteers from time to time with the church’s media ministry.

Andy spends most of his time as a husband, daddy, and pseudo-geek. He loves his family, friends, church, coffee, music, and technology. He loves to laugh and to make others laugh.
